Hulog ng Langit Foundation is a non profit organization established by Mark "MJ" Jimenez, its lone benefactor. The Foundation's staff is composed of dedicated young professionals from various disciplines who are committed to the vision of Mark "MJ" Jimenez of bringing spirituality back to the people's lives by awareness of God's infinite love, humanitarian assistance, and personal transformation.

Vision

The Hulog ng Langit Foundation believes that the Philippines has a special place in the scheme of things that God instituted to redeem mankind and bring salvation on earth. For the Philippines would not have become the only Christian country in Asia -- the continent that is fast becoming the center of world economic and military power in the 21st century -- if God do not intend the Filipinos to play a major role in world history. We believe that sooner or later the Philippines will be the site of the New Jerusalem, where Jesus Christ will save mankind from its own folly and sin.

Mission

The Hulog ng Langit Foundation aims to pursue Philanthropist Mark Jimenez's vision of a God-fearing Philippines, where the the realization of the Sovereignty of God and the covenant and testament of governance of nations will hasten the country's unity, as well as its spiritual and social welfare development. The Foundation, therefore, will serve as an instrument to encourage Filipinos to return to spirituality in order to help the country attain its God-given destiny.

Only a few people will have the opportunity to influence the flow of history, but each one of us can work to change even a small part of our lives.

And the total sum of all those acts will be written in Heaven as the history of this country and this generation. So, the Foundation will always promote the Christian precept of prayer, love, and sharing.

History

Mark "MJ" Jimenez envisioned the Hulog ng Langit Foundation while he was in jail serving a two-year sentence for excessive contribution to the election campaign fund of former U.S. President Bill Clinton. There, MJ spent more than five months in isolation chambers or bartolina for secretly helping his fellow inmates, both Filipino and foreign citizens, who were in dire need of additional food, medicine, or financial support for their family.

While inside the dark isolation chamber, MJ was praying, fasting, and meditating almost 18 hours a day when an apparition of Jesus Christ

appeared to him. Mark Jimenez said the Redeemer comforted him and forgave him of his sins. His cell became the Garden of Heaven, filled with heavenly light, singing angels, and praying saints. MJ's bed became the Tabernacle of the Holy Spirit. Then Christ led him toward a stairway going up to the clouds, and hand-in-hand with angels and saints MJ was shown the magnificence of Heaven. Every night, Jesus and his entourage of angels and saints appeared to him.

Mark described the encounter as the most glorious and joyful experience of his life. He became inspired to write psalms and songs and plans on what he should do once he came out of prison. The heavenly song "Hulog ng Langit" is one of the music MJ had written while in prison. Other songs describing his mystical experiences in jail will be released soon. The inspiration to establish a foundation in order to help the deprived, neglected, and abused sectors of society also came to him.

So, right after he was released, he returned to the Philippines and established the Boses ng Diyos choir and the "Nagkakaisa sa Diyos, Nagkakaisang Pilipino, Nagkakaisang Mundo Para sa Gloria ni Jesus" group. The organization was later on renamed Hulog ng Langit Foundation to emphasize the idea that all the blessings it is distributing come from God in heaven. Mark "MJ" Jimenez only serves as a conduit or an instrument facilitating the realization of God's will to the Filipino people.

While distributing material goods and financial assistance, MJ's priority mission is to persuade people to return to God. Through the Hulog ng Langit Foundation, he wants to convey the message that only a return to spirituality can bring unity, love, and brotherhood in this country.

Only spiritual change and recognition that we are all children of one God in heaven can make the Philippines peaceful, harmonious, and prosperous.
